‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 5: Beauty, Beast, Gaston and Hades in the Underworld (VIDEO)

In “Once Upon A Time” Season 5, Episode 17 (“Her Handsome Hero” air date: April 10), Belle, her beast and Gaston of the “Beauty and the Beast” fairy tale face Hades in the Underworld. This week’s new episode also brings back Red (Meghan Ory).
Spoiler alert: This update contains “Once Upon A Time” Season 5 spoilers. Details include what happens next to Hades (Greg Germann) and his plans against the OUAT heroes.
In OUAT 5x17, Hades pits another character against The Dark One/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle). Wes Brown guest stars as Gaston, the antagonist in the 1991 Disney movie, “Beauty and the Beast.”
Gaston is going after Rumple to avenge his death. It remains to be seen whether he would be the next character to be “saved” by Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and the heroes of OUAT.
In OUAT, the beast happens to be wearing many other hats: Dark One, Rumple and Mr Gold. Belle (Emilie de Ravin) fell in love with Rumple way before the Storybrooke curse was cast. Now, they are expecting a baby, who happens to be at risk already, because Rumple made a deal a long time ago that involves giving out his second child. Hades took over this deal, so he could use the baby as a leverage in dealing with Rumple. What happens next?
In the previous episode, it is revealed that Hades is in-love with Zelena (Rebecca Mader). Hades says the Underworld looks like a darker version of Storybrooke because he wanted his beloved to have Regina’s (Lana Parilla) Storybrooke. Zelena, however, is thinking Hades is only planning to cast a time travelling spell by using her baby, as payback for breaking his heart some lifetime ago.
Is Hades telling the truth, or is he really just after a key element to a time travelling spell? At this point, The Author a.k.a. Henry Mills (Jared S. Gilmore) is expected to find out more about Hades’ real motivations.
“Once Upon A Time” airs every Sunday on ABC. The next episode (“Ruby Slippers”) airs on April 17.
