'Once Upon A Time' Season 4 Spoilers: Actor Ernie Hudson Cast As Ursula's Father King Poseidon
A new character will be introduced in the second half of "Once Upon a Time" Season 4. The latest spoiler reports claim that Ursula's (Merrin Dungey) father, King Poseidon, is set to appear in an upcoming episode of the fairy tale drama series in 2015.
According to a Hypable report, actor Ernie Hudson has been cast as the god of the sea during the comeback of "The Little Mermaid" storyline in "Once Upon a Time" Season 4. Series creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz previously teased that actress JoAnna Garcia Swisher will return as Ariel in the latest season of the ABC TV series.
The characters from "The Little Mermaid" got introduced in "Once Upon a Time" Season 3 when Regina/The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) impersonated Ursula and used Ariel to capture Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin). The OUAT fans can recall that Ursula, one of the "Queens of Darkness," appeared as a mirror vision before Regina and threatened the Evil Queen for pretending to be her.
A TV Fanatic report claims actor Ernie Hudson will appear as King Poseidon in "Once Upon a Time" Season 4, episode 15 titled "Enter the Dragon." Another OUAT character reportedly set to return in the second half of "Once Upon a Time" Season 4 is Pinocchio.
A Hypable report claims that actor Eion Bailey will be reprising his role as Pinocchio in "Once Upon a Time" Season 4, episode 14 titled "Unforgiven." The report noted down that the episode is expected to focus on Pinocchio/August's shady past.
The report further speculated that August's return has something to do with the intensifying hunt on the mysterious Storybrooke author. The character introduced himself as a "writer" to Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) where he was able to add a couple of new pages to the child's story book so there could be a connection between him and "The Author."
"Once Upon a Time" Season 4 is scheduled to return from its long hiatus on March 1, 2015 with episode 13 titled "Darkness on the Edge of Town." The brand new episode will air at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
