"The Vampire Diaries" fans will have to patiently wait for the second half of season 6 in January 2015 but the CW TV series' executive producer gave the fans a foretaste of what will happen to the TVD characters. Executive producer Julie Plec teased on Twitter that there will be flashback scenes, a witch merge, blood and even death when "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 returns from its holiday break.

On Friday, Dec. 12, Julie Plec started to post on her Twitter account @julieplec about the "tremendous stuff" that will happen in "The Vampire Diaires" Season 6 in 2015. The executive producer confirmed that a merge between witch twins will happen but the fans must find out if it is going to be Liv (Penelope Mitchell) and Luke (Chris Brochu) or Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) and Kai (Chris Wood).

Julie Plec teased there will be flashback scenes showing a young Caroline Forbes, a young Stefan Salvatore and an 1858 Damon Salvatore. "There will be kissing. A LOT of kissing. By more than one couple," Plec tweeted.

Then, the executive producer teased that a hook-up, a break-up and a make-up will happen but not necessarily by the same couple in the show. Plec's teases became more interesting when she posted that there will be blood and more than one person will die.

Meanwhile, TVD cast member Ian Somerhalder also appears to be in a teasing mood as he shared an image on Instagram of himself with co-star Paul Wesley on the TV series' set in Atlanta, Georgia. "These two dudes on set- Stefan and Damon Salvatore shot by the magnificent genius- @chrisgrismer," Somerhalder posted as a caption to the shared image on his Instagram account iansomerhalder on Tuesday, Dec. 16. According to a Wet Paint report, the shot is from "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 14. Another image captured from the upcoming episode featured the "Delena" or Damon-Elena couple.

"On set with two of my favorites. #tvd," the director posted on his Instagram account chrisgrismer on Thursday, Dec. 11. Click HERE to see photo. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is scheduled to return on Jan. 22, 2015 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network with episode 11 titled "Woke Up With a Monster."
