Nokia officially unveiled the Nokia Lumia 625, a Windows Phone handset with larger screen size of 4.7 inches, 4G capable and an affordable price. According to the Finnish smartphone maker, the Nokia Lumia 625 will be put up for sale in China, Europe, Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, Africa and Latin America in Q3 2013 with an estimated retail price of €220 (US$290) before taxes and subsidies.

"With our largest smartphone screen to date, the Nokia Lumia 625 is a perfect example of how Nokia is delivering leading smartphone innovation and experiences at every price point," Jo Harlow, the Executive Vice President of Nokia Smart Devices declared in a released statement.

The Nokia smartphones are known for its colourful design and consumers can still choose from the available colour options of orange, white, yellow, bright green and black. Additionally, there will be a selection of changeable cases that will allow users to easily personalize their Nokia Lumia 625 handset.

The Nokia Lumia 625 utilizes a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor with 512MB of RAM, Windows Phone 8, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, a 5MP rear-facing camera and a VGA front-facing camera.

Though the Nokia Lumia 625 has a larger screen size compared to the 4.5-inch screen size of other Lumia handsets, it is still easy to hold and use even with hand gloves on. Other smartphone features and specs include the 800x480 Gorilla Glass 2 IPS LCD display, 2000mAh battery and 8GB internal storage capacity.

Nokia declared that the smartphone battery on the Lumia 625 can last for at least two days and have 15.2 hours of talk time over a 3G network. A microSD card slot is available on the Nokia Lumia 625 to expand memory storage up to 64GB and Microsoft tosses in as well the free 7GB SkyDrive cloud storage.

Nokia is anticipating the extensive availability of the Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone from the beginning of September 2013. EE, Vodafone, O2 and Carphone Warehouse will reportedly be the carriers for the Windows Phone device.
