Nokia Lumia 1020: Unlocked Version Available for Pre-Order in the U.S. at $735 Price

Consumers are excited to get their hands on the recently unveiled Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone with its remarkable 41MP PureView camera and Windows Phone 8 operating system. Retailer Negri Electronics currently takes pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 1020 unlocked version with a price of $735.50.

However, the retailer did not give a precise shipping date for the latest Nokia device. The worldwide arrival of the Nokia Lumia 1020 in the market is scheduled in September 2013.

In the U.S., AT&T will exclusively offer the Nokia Lumia 1020 when the smartphone arrives on July 26. Interested consumers can place their pre-orders as well for the Lumia device that comes with the two-year agreement and a $300 payment price.

Additionally, Nokia Lumia 1020 will be available in European countries with an expensive price tag. Pre-orders kicked-off in Germany where two retailers revealed the details on the Nokia Lumia 1020 selling price.

German retailers Notebooksbilliger and Nullprozentshop posted that an unlocked version of the Nokia Lumia 1020 costs €799 (US$1043). The costly price for the Finnish smartphone surpassed the price of the unlocked 32GB version of Apple's iPhone 5 in Europe which is €789 (US$1030).

The Nokia Lumia 1020 is the first ever Windows Phone 8 handset to feature the 41MP PureView rear-facing camera with the Carl Zeiss optics, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Xenon flash camera features. The new Nokia smartphone sports a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ screen display with 1280x768p resolution, the dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM.

Additional impressive features and specs include LTE connectivity, Dolby Digital Plus sound, 32GB internal storage capacity and the power of a 2000mAh battery. Consumers can choose from the three available colour choices of the Nokia Lumia 1020 which are black, yellow and white.
