Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder knows exactly what to expect from the Bulls in Saturday's Super qualifying final in Christchurch.

The Bulls have had a significant turnover in senior personnel in the last year, but their recipe for success - based around the set piece and Morne Steyn's boot - remains the same.

"They haven't changed one bit of their game plan in the last four years, which is a credit to them because they just keep playing to their strengths all the time," Blackadder told Fairfax NZ News.

"We know exactly what we are going to get.

"One of their strengths is their line-out, they put so much pressure on set piece - a little bit like what we did with the Chiefs," Blackadder added.

"When I look back to when Crusaders teams have lost to the Bulls they have really cleaned us out in the line-outs. That is one huge area.

"They have probably been the best technicians for the last three or four years, that is their game."
