Nina Dobrev: 'Vampire Diaries' Actress Spends Christmas With Family, Shares Holiday Trip Experience On Instagram

"Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev shared to her millions of followers on Instagram how she spent her holiday break. The captured images showed the 25-year-old Bulgarian-Canadian beauty enjoying Christmas with her family.

According to a Just Jared report, Nina Dobrev captured a funny selfie image with her brother, Alexander, while on a ski lift during the Dobrev family holiday vacation. "Snowboarding adventures with my favorite people. Friends. Family. Loved ones. Life is good. Scream at the top of your lungs of you're grateful/having a good time!" the TVD star posted as a caption to the shared image on her Instagram account ninadobrev on Sunday, Dec. 28. Nina Dobrev also shared a photo of her parents, Konstantin and Michaela, enjoying the family's holiday skiing trip on Instagram. "Parentals on the slopes. Crushing it," the actress posted as a caption to the image. Click HERE to see photo of Nina Dobrev's parents.

Another image that the TVD star shared on the social media site featured her mom preparing their family dinner. "Mama bear," Dobrev's image caption reads. Click HERE to see photo. On Twitter, the actress spared some of her time to greet her more than five million followers on Christmas day.

"Merry Christmas Everyone! Wishing you and your family love laughter and tons of rest and relaxation over the holidays!" Dobrev posted on her Twitter account @ninadobrev on Thursday, Dec. 25.

The actress is set to return to the TVD set in Atlanta, Georgia after the holiday break to film the scenes for the upcoming episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. The CW Network already released a promo photo to remind the fans the schedule of the TV series' return.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is scheduled to return on Jan. 22, 2015 on the CW Network with episode 11 titled "Woke Up With a Monster." The upcoming episode is expected to reveal what happened to Elena after Kai (Chris Wood) captured her in the mid-season finale episode titled "Christmas Through Your Eyes."

Additionally, the upcoming second half of the new season is expected to have the TVD characters finally reunite after spending the first half of the season apart and find a way to defeat Kai, the latest psychotic villain in the CW TV series.
