She may have gone topless but it was for a good cause. "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev shared on her social media account WhoSay an attention-grabbing image of herself posing topless with just the sign #GetCovered covering her chest to show support and raise awareness on the United States Affordable Care Act or also known as Obamacare.

"Im Canadian. We have healthcare for all," Ms Dobrev wrote as a caption to her black-and-white topless image with a link directed to the U.S. government's healthcare coverage page. The 24-year-old actress further added: "Because w/o it, youre naked."

The "Obamacare" presents government financial assistance to lower health insurance costs for U.S. citizens. There are other famous celebrities, both male and female, who showed support as well for the healthcare act.

Actress Emily VanCamp shared an image of herself with the #GetCovered sign but the "Revenge" star had her clothes on. Amy Poehler, Olivia Wilde, Kerry Washington and Lady Gaga joined in supporting the healthcare act with handmade signs yet it was still Nina Dobrev who got most of the attention after her image got retweeted over 1000 times.

In the mean time, Ms Dobrev is keeping herself busy with her work on the latest season of "The Vampire Diaries." Fans are really excited with the new Season 5 especially with the Delena romance as ex-couple Nina and Ian continue to promote and interact on social networking site Twitter.

Nina commented that the shared photograph of Ian sporting red eyes and vampire fangs is "cute" when the heartthrob actor made an announcement about live tweeting during the show and asked the TVD fans to stay tuned. The actress had a Twitter conversation as well with the TV series' executive producer Julie Plec about Season 5.

Ms Plec posted on her Twitter account @julieplec the message: "I can't decide who I love more this season. Katherine or Silas. They're both just such d**ks. #TVD" to which Nina responded with: "Bad is good. K is the baddest,Duh." Nina Dobrev returns with her double characters Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierece in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 that airs every Thursday night.
