Recent reports claim that Julianne Hough appears to play cupid in hooking up the two important people in her life.

According to the Star magazine report, "Safe Haven" actress Julianne Hough is excited to pair up her best friend and brother. Ms Hough appears to be protective of Nina Dobrev and does not want her to end up with a loser.

On the other hand, Julianne is reportedly "super picky" on the girls that her brother Derek dates so she was really keen to bring the two closer to each other. Star magazine further reports that a witness caught Nina and Derek cozying up at the recently held Lollapalooza event.

"Nina and Derek seemed really into each other," the unnamed witness shared. However, Nina's rep immediately denied the rumours to Gossip Cop by saying that the claims were "not true" and the two are "just good friends."

The rumours about Nina Dobrev having a new love life surfaced after admitting about her super close friendship with Julianne Hough to the point that the BFFs share everything down to the stylists and hairdressers. "We've known the same person, Riawna Capri, who cuts and colours and does our hair. She's like, 'You guys have to meet'. We've just been like joined- connected at the hip," the 24-year-old brunette beauty revealed to E!Online.

Furthermore, Nina's interview with Us Weekly pointed out that she is not really in a hurry to get into another romantic relationship. Hearts of the "Vampire Diaries" fans continue to break since there are no signs of reunion happening between Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder.

The ex-couple appears to be in good terms with each other as they continue to work together on the Atlanta set for the upcoming "Vampire Diaries" Season 5. Nina recently told Us Weekly: "I've been a relationship girl and I've been in long-term relationships my whole life until this point, so I think I'm looking forward to spending some time with myself and finding myself again."
