Google Nexus 9, manufactured by HTC, is becoming one of the most sought-after tablets. During a product launch event in Taipei, Jack Tong, HTC's North Asia president, stated that the demand for the Nexus 9 tablet has been very high. The company is leaving no stones unturned to expand its production capacity to meet the demand.

HTC has previously introduced a "Hot Deals" promotional event on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Reportedly, the company sold several hundreds of the Nexus 9 tablets at a discounted price within one day. Notably, it is a half-price sale; hence, customers thronged to get their hands on the discounted but brand new tablet. Because of the influx of the orders, HTC's servers started fluctuating and eventually, many customers were not able to place their orders. However, a number of tablets intended for the sale was sold out completely, according to Phone Arena.

Due to the high demand for Google's tablet, HTC has taken a cue and is now planning to launch its own device in 2015. Notably, HTC's last tablet came out way back in February 2011, dubbed "HTC Flyer," which was not successful in terms of sales, according to Phone Arena. Interestingly, the Android-based HTC Flyer was introduced in BestBuy at a price of $499.99, back in 2011.

On the other hand, Tong also acknowledged that the tablet market is oversaturated at this point and is on a downward spiral for quite some time now. This means that a standout product should be manufactured to make the tablet-loving crowd fall back in love with the device. He further pointed out that the 7-inch tablets that used to sell like hotcakes were put to rest because of the advent of phablets or smartphones with bigger displays. This also means that HTC will try to make a larger tablet than the 7-inch slate, opines Phone Arena.

Moreover, HTC's Nexus 9 is the first tablet to run on Android v5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box. There is no custom UI to meddle with the stock vanilla Android experience in the Nexus 9. Therefore, this tablet is built for the die-hard Android fans and purists. In hindsight, the search giant has always partnered with OEMs that would not kill the unadulterated Android experience. Needless to say, this approach has clearly worked out for Google; hence, Nexus 9 is currently one of the most in-demand tablets.

For those that cannot wait for another "Hot Deals" half-price sale, the Nexus 9 is being offered officially in Google Play store, KnowYourMobile reports. Potential buyers can also opt for the magnetic keyboard folio, specific to the Nexus 9. This keyboard supports two angles and it is stays comfortably on the lap, making typing easier. Evidently, it is quite easy to compare the magnetic keyboard folio with Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 2-in-1 tablet, which also comes with a detachable keyboard and a kickstand. Interested readers can order the Nexus 9 tablet from Google Play Store and the handy keyboard folio from this link.
