Recently launched HTC-made Google's latest tablet Nexus 9 was heading to Amazon U.K. and the promised release date was Nov. 3. However, now, we have information that the Nexus 9 is out of stock. Instead, Amazon UK will start shipping the tablets only from Dec. 15. Plus, neither Google nor Amazon has disclosed the reasons for the delay.

The silver lining, however, is that the Nexus 9 tablet can be purchased from the Google Play Store. And the shipment date according to the search giant is Nov. 3. Therefore, potential buyers who cannot wait until the mid of December can get their hands on this tablet via Google Play. Moreover, there is no update from the aforementioned companies to ascertain if this delay is specific to the U.K. or it could affect other countries as well, reports GSM Arena.

As far as the price goes, the HTC Nexus 9 tablet with WiFi-only connection will set the buyers back by 319 pounds for a 16 GB model. The 32 GB variant, on the other hand, can be purchased for 399 pounds. When it comes to specifications, the Nexus 9 features a humongous 8.9-inch IPS LCD display complemented by a killer resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. The device is powered by a solid dual-core (Nvidia Tegra K1) Denver processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, with Kepler DX1 for graphics. And it is backed by a modest 2 GB of RAM. The handset sports a good 8 MP rear-facing camera unit with LED flash, in addition to a 1.6 MP front-facing shooter for selfies.

Moving on to the software configuration, the Nexus 8 successor runs on the latest Android OS v5.0 Lollipop with material design. Plus, the whole configuration is held together by a killer Li-Po 6,700 mAh non-removable battery unit. Apparently, the battery can provide up to 9 hours and 30 minutes of 3G talk time and 720 hours of 3G stand-by time. The tablet is offered as 16 GB and 32 GB variants with no microSD card support for further expansion, following Google's staunch rule.

Moreover, the device can be purchased as WiFi-only and LTE models. Speaking of size, the Nexus 9 tablet is 0.31-inch thick and it weighs 425 g (for a WiFi-only model) and 436 g (for a LTE model). Interested readers can avail the tablet in black and white hues.
