Lately, quite a bunch of rumours are flying around with respect to the design, specs and features of Google's upcoming Nexus 6, also referred as Nexus X. However, according to a latest report via a credible source from Motorola, the specifications of Nexus 6 have been confirmed.

Based on the confirmation from the source, the Nexus 6/X will feature a whopping 5.9-inch display coupled with a killer full QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and 496 ppi of pixel density. The handset will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 805 processor and will run on Android L (v5.0) OS out of the box. Also, the phone will sport a 13 MP rear-facing camera unit with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and dual-flash, in addition to a 2 MP secondary snapper for selfies. Furthermore, the Nexus 6 will be backed by a solid 3200 mAh battery unit, says Phone Arena.

Android Central, however, has confirmation that the Nexus 6 will be compatible with the $35 Motorola Turbo Charger that helps in charging the handset within mind-boggling speed. Motorola says, the 2014 Moto X model can be charged in 15 minutes and will provide 8 hours of battery life, before requiring a recharge.

When it comes to the design, the Nexus 6 will share the look of the Motorola Moto X, barring the size difference. However, the difference is that the two grills located on the front of the Nexus 6 will be stereo speakers, unlike the Moto X. Besides, there is no respite in the confusion pertaining to the device names i.e. Nexus 6/Nexus X/Motorola Shamu. All we know right now is that Motorola and Google are trying to fend off the legal tussle that could arise due to the Nexus 6 moniker. Notably, the name Nexus 6 was used in the movie and the book named "Blade Runner" and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" respectively.

Android Central has come up with a Nexus 6 render based on the information from the trusted source from Motorola. The Nexus6/X looks like the blown up version of the Moto X with the power and volume rockers positioned in the lower end of the phone. The home screen of the device has umpteen Google apps as expected. However, near the Google folder there is a new Drive folder with Drive app, Companion Docs, Sheets and Slides apps housed in it. Also, a Play folder with Play Music, Books, Movies/ TV and Newsstand can also be seen.

Nonetheless, there is no information available to ascertain the price and the exact release date of the Nexus 6/X. Going by the earlier rumours, the Nexus 6 could see a release during Halloween time frame, however other reports point to a mid-October release.
