Disney and Lucasfilm continue to excite fans with the upcoming release of the much-anticipated film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Movie director J.J. Abrams has confirmed that there will be no more trailers released until the movie comes out on Dec. 18. However, there’s no telling how many more TV spots and film footage will be revealed before then. Recently, the studio provided another look at the sequel with a focus on the new hero Finn, played by John Boyega.

The new “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” TV spot released on the official “Star Wars” Facebook page puts the spotlight on Boyega’s character. The video below shows never-before-seen footage of Finn’s life after he deflects from the Empire and aligns with the Rebel warriors.

After a brief intro showing the First Order assembly and the Stormtroopers attacking a village, the video cuts to a scene where Boyega’s Finn is telling someone, “You don’t know a thing about me.” Then a series of sequences follow, showing Boyega as the hero.

There’s a brief glimpse of Finn freaking out in his Stormtrooper suit while Boyega’s voiceover continues with “what I have seen.” It is followed with a shot of Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn and BB-8 running away from danger as Boyega’s voiceover is heard saying, “We all need to run.”

Finn is seen next expertly wielding his lightsaber as he battles it out with a Stormtrooper. The footage also shows him flying a ship, which somehow resembles the Millennium Falcon’s cockpit.

The footage also shows BB-8 rolling around inside the Falcon, along with a quick glimpse of Chewbacca’s (Peter Mayhew) hand detonating a bomb. Han Solo (Harrison Ford) also teams up with a scared-looking Finn and asks him, “Sure you’re up for this?” Finn replies, Hell no.”

The villain Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is also featured in the new TV spot for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” standing tall amid the fiery battle between the Empire and the Rebel warriors. He also comes face to face with Rey who fires at him with her blaster.

In a recent interview with Empire magazine, Boyega recalled his reaction when he first got his lightsaber for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The actor said he was so overjoyed when the Jedi weapon was handed to him. He was also reportedly very protective of the lightsaber as he hugged it all day and never let anyone else hold it.
