DICE’s “Star Wars Battlefront” is scheduled to release anytime soon, and fans should be well-aware that there are several features coming to the game. Aside from the maps and game modes, the title will also be a host to several unit types that players will have a chance to control.

Just before the game releases, developer DICE released a new diary video, which focuses on the skill sets of some of the hero units found in the game, PCGamer reports. Among the modes of the “Star Wars Battlefront” is one that's aptly titled Heroes VS. Villains. In this mode, players will be facing off each other using the iconic characters from the original trilogy.

The video seen below showcases how powerful these units are compared with the regular troopers. When playing as one of the hero units, gamers will be given a unique health bar that depletes through time. It is also depleted when the player is damaged. To replenish the health bar, gamers need to take out other players.

There are a total of six hero units that will be available for "Star Wars Battlefront" at launch. The heroes include Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo. Meanwhile, the villains include Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Emperor Palpatine.

Each unit will be played differently and will have several skills. Luke Skywalker will be an agile and efficient melee combatant, but he can also make use of several force skills including Force Push and Saber Rush. Princess Leia is a ranged hero that can use temporary shields and take out enemy units with one shot. Meanwhile, Han Solo is is efficient in both melee and ranged combat using his pistol.

For the villains, Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine will be able to use several force abilities that are unique to their characters as well. Meanwhile, Boba Fett’s specialty is the use of his trademark jetpack and arsenal of guns.
