“Star Wars Battlefront” launches next week, and new information has been released about the multiplayer shooter, including the install size for the digital version of the game and a new companion app. The app can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices, while the install size differs for each platform, though only slightly.

According to VG24/7, the install size for the PC version of the game will be the largest at 27 GB, while the PS4 version has the second largest size at 23 GB. The Xbox One version has the lightest load, coming in at 19 GB.

Considering how all of them are around 20 or more gigabytes, this makes “Star Wars Battlefront” one of the lighter Triple A games to come out in a while. While anything over 20 GB will surely take up a lot of space, gamers should keep in mind that other Triple A titles like “Just Cause 3” weigh in at around 50 GB or more.

It’s not yet known if the install size is also the same for the deluxe digital editions of the game. These digital versions of the game come with the US$50 (AU$70.81) season pass and exclusive downloadable content.

The companion app for “Star Wars Battlefront” lets players see what their friends are up to and even check how close they are to getting certain unlockables. Interestingly enough, Eurogamer has confirmed that the app comes with a siege mini-game, which, according to the report, is addictive. Fans will want to play this mini-game, not only because it’s fun, but to also get extra in-game credits. These can be used in the main “Star Wars Battlefront” title to purchase items and weapons, among other things.

“Star Wars Battlefront” will come out next week, Nov. 20, for the PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Those with an EA Access account can download the game now and play it for 10 hours, ahead of everyone else. Once the 10 hours are finished, the EA Access members will have to wait till Nov. 20 to play the full game like everyone else.
