The movie will mark the return of the franchise to the movie theaters after being dormant for over a decade. The upcoming “Jurassic World” film has many fans excited and worried at the same time. While seeing Chris Pratt lead a team of Raptors has many fans on cloud nine, the teaser of the amalgamated dinosaur could be considered a bit worrisome. Still, the film has fans talking, so game developer Ludia has decided to capitalize on the momentum by releasing a “Jurassic World” mobile game, a dinosaur island simulator.

Ludia had previously released “Jurassic Park Builder” for iOS as well, so this will not be the studio’s fist time handling the prehistoric franchise according to Pocket Gamer. Like the first title, the “Jurassic World” game is a dinosaur island simulator, where players have to build a theme park and keep the dinosaurs away from the tourists.

While creating a park is still one of the key mechanics to the game, “Jurassic World” also adds an unexpected element that wasn’t in the first “Jurassic Park Builder.” The game will allow players to collect dinosaurs and have them battle other dinosaurs, whether they’re controlled by the game’s AI or through online play, which is very similar to the “Pokemon” games from Nintendo.

Making things even more interesting is a mechanic that seems to tie-in to the overall narrative of the upcoming “Jurassic World” film. The Social Times has reported that players will be able to combine two dinosaurs into a special evolved dinosaur with a higher level. This can only be achieved when the weaker dinosaurs have reached their max level.

It has also been revealed that the “Jurassic World” mobile game will also connect to the new Brawlasaurs toys from Hasbro. Players can scan the toys through the mobile device and bring them to life in the game, similar to “Skylanders” or “Disney Infinity.”

“Jurassic World” is a free download and is currently available for iOS devices only, with no word for it getting an Android release just yet. This won’t be the only “Jurassic World” game out this year, as Traveller’s Tales are also working on “Lego: Jurassic World,” which will re-tell the stories of the first three “Jurassic Park” films, as well as the new “Jurassic World” movie.
