The Indominus Rex is a highly aggressive hybrid dinosaur that terrorises both dinosaurs as well as people in “Jurassic World.” A new video released by the producers shows how the dinosaur escapes its paddock in the movie. [Spoiler Alert!]

The previous trailers of “Jurassic World” showed a scene where one of the crew members of the park gets picked up by the Indominus Rex while the trainer Owen escapes. The role of Owen Grady is played by Chris Pratt in the movie.

A new video shows an extended version of this scene. The Indominus Rex escapes its paddock in the scene. The video shows how the owner of the park tries to stop the dinosaur from escaping by attempting to close the door, but the dinosaur manages to escape just before the doors close.

The video hints at the possibility that the park owner may have wanted Owen to tame the Indominus Rex the same way he tamed the Velociraptors. The role of the park owner Simon Masrani is played by Irrfan Khan. The park manager Claire Dearing, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, is not at the site at the time when the dinosaur escapes.

According to the official “Jurassic World” website, the name Indominus Rex means “fierce or untameable king.” The dinosaur was created at the Hammond Creation Lab by combining the genetic material of Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops and Giganotosaurus. The fearsome creature was created by the scientists in order to attract more visitors to the park.

The roar of the Indominus Rex can reach 140-160 db, which is the same as the sound a Boeing 747 airplane makes while takeoff or landing. The dinosaur is capable of reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h.

The Indominus Rex will not be the only dinosaur to watch out for in “Jurassic World.” In a previous report by HeroComplex, director Colin Trevorrow revealed that the T-Rex in the upcoming movie is the same one seen in the 1993 movie.

“She’s been on the island for 22 years. She’s still alive. She’s a little older, and she’s angry,” the director revealed. He did not say whether there will be a scene where the Indominus Rex fights the T-Rex in “Jurassic World.”
