Hisense is the latest technology company to enter the 7-inch tablet competition in the market. The Chinese electronics brand introduces two new tablets exclusively available at Walmart, the Hisense Sero 7 LT and the Hisense Sero 7 Pro, with low prices and impressive specs in a bid to overthrow the $200 Google Nexus 7.

The Hisense Sero 7 Pro has a price of $150. The tablet features an IPS touch screen display with 1280x800p resolution comparable to the Google and Asus Nexus 7.

Both tablets are equipped with the 1.3-GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPU processor, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, the standard motion sensors, microUSB, mini-HDMI and microSD card slot. Other features and specs include 8GB of internal storage capacity, 2MP front-facing camera and 5MP rear-facing camera.

Though Sero 7 Pro is powered with only 4000mAh battery compared to the Google Nexus 7 4325mAh battery, Hisense guarantees that the tablet's battery has the capability to provide up to 10 hours of browsing or gaming. The new tablet can be plugged directly to the HDTV with the HDMI cable and an adapter since the socket is a Mini HDMI-out.

At the low price of $100, the Hisense Sero 7 LT tablet is incorporated with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, the 1.6-GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, 4GB internal storage capacity, 0.3MP front-facing camera and a non-IPS 1024x600p screen display. The tablet has a number of ports such as microUSB, mini-HDMI and microSD card slot that can expand memory storage of up to 32GB.

Sero 7 LT looks identical with the Sero 7 Pro but the distinction can be identified from the tablet's weight due to its smaller battery at only 3400mAh. The low pricing scheme of the new Hisense tablets with the impressive features and specifications will attract the budget-conscious device consumers and place the Sero 7 Pro and Sero 7 LT contending against powerful rivals like Amazon Kindle HD and Google Nexus 7.
