According to reports, Motorola has silently listed a new variant of the Moto X Pure Edition. The new 64 GB variant of the Pure Edition is priced at $599.99.

The 64 GB Moto X Pure Edition version can now be purchased as a SIM-free unlocked model via Motorola's official website. Motorola Mobility announced this new version via its official Twitter account on Dec. 31. In case, potential buyers would like to opt for carrier contracts, the 16 GB and the 32 GB models are the two available choices at this point, according to GSM Arena.

It is worth noting that, the Moto X models do not come with microSD card support for further expansion. Therefore, the 64 GB model is a convenient option for those that download stacks of apps and games. As far as the key specifications go, the Moto X 2014 handset features a 5.2-inch AMOLED display, complemented by 1,080 x 1,920 pixels Full HD screen resolution. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 801) Krait 400 processor, clocked at 2.5 GHz and backed by a solid 2 GB of RAM. On the software end, the device runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. However, it is upgradable to Android Lollipop v5.0.

The handset is backed by a 2,300 mAh battery unit. Furthermore, the device sports a good 13 MP rear-facing camera unit, in addition to a 2 MP front-facing shooter for selfies. The impressive primary camera supports quick capture, tap to focus/capture, 4K UHD video recording, panorama, 4X digital zoom, burst mode, auto HDR and slow motion video, to name a few.

Aside from the standard connectivity options, the Moto X also supports NFC, LTE and GPS. It is worth noting that the Moto X 2014 comes with water-resistant coating. With this coating, the device can survive accidental water spills/splashes. On the other hand, potential buyers can swap the back panel of the Moto X with 25 different shell options from Moto Maker website. The panels come in 17 vivid colours, 4 woods and 4 leathers.
