Friends and fans alike have pooled in their support for actor Harrison Ford who remains in the hospital following his recent plane crash . As a show of support, the hashtag #NeverTellMeTheOdds has gone viral on Twitter following the actor’s accident.

The hashtag #NeverTellMeTheOdds seemingly all started with a tweet coming from actor Peter Mayhew. The latter has worked with Harrison Ford in the past “Star Wars” movies and in the coming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” film portraying the role of Chewbacca, Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon co-pilot. When news of Ford’s condition following the plane crash went from critical to fair, Mayhew gave what U-T San Diego described as his “best response” to the accident with a tweet saying, “From Critical > Severe > Moderate > Fair in the span of an hour. Is #HarrisonFord Han Solo or Wolverine? #NeverTellMeTheOdds.”

Since Peter Mayhew’s March 6 tweet, fans of the Han Solo star has gone on to Twitter to share their own responses to the actor’s quick recovery from the plane crash, where they coupled their statements with the hashtag #NeverTellMeTheOdds. The tag has apparently gone viral worldwide, per trendsmap, as a tribute to Harrison Ford’s great physical strength. Twitter user Marc Merrill even called the actor a “beast” for surviving three different air crashes, while another Twitter user James Alley said Harrison Ford is really Han Solo/Indiana Jones for crash landing a plane on a golf course which leaves him in fair instead of critical condition.

According to StarWars7News, Harrison Ford’s condition following the plane crash was initially described as “critical.” But sources reportedly confirmed the lacerations to the actor’s head as well as possible fractures were considered “serious.” However, the 72-year-old is said to be recovering quickly now according to his son, who tweeted on Friday, March 6, that his father may be battered but he is an “incredibly strong man.”

Despite the plane crash, veteran flight instructor Liz Destaffany complimented Harrison Ford for his flying skills. She said the actor did an excellent job landing the plane on safe ground. Destaffany added the actor beautifully executed an emergency landing and also called Harrison Ford an “unbelievably well-trained pilot.”
