Nene Leakes is not returning to the “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Fans will miss her when RHOA Season 8 premieres on Bravo. The celebrity announced the news in emotional messages sent to fans via Twitter.

In her statement, Leakes said she considers the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” a big part of her life. Her reason for leaving is implied in the statement, which said Leakes is “excited” about new beginnings.

“Thank you so much to everyone who has watched and supported me over the years on this amazing platform. With lots of thought and prayer I’ve decided to step out on faith and not fear,” Leakes said in her statement, as reported by Us magazine.

The same report said Leakes is working with “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” celebrity Kim Kardashian. Leakes has just recently become a part of Kardashian’s mobile game, “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.”

Leakes, 47, has been in RHOA for seven years. She also appeared in the now-defunct sitcom “The New Normal” and “Dancing With the Stars.” In the past 24 hours, Leakes posted six tweets featuring Kim Kardashian and her RHOA decision.

The avid audience of RHOA are waiting to hear about celebrity replacements and additions in the cast. Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, and Porsha Williams are all expected to be in “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 8.

Earlier in June, Kim Richards announced she would not be returning to “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Later, Brandi Glanville got fired from the show, ET Online recalled.

Andy Cohen, executive producer of “The Real Housewives” franchise, has also tweeted about Leakes’ departure. The show boss said Leakes could always decide to come “back to the house she helped build!” Leakes retweeted the Bravo producer’s statement.
