This week, followers of the long-running Australian soap “Neighbours” got excited to see Sarah Beaumont in a couple of episodes, believing that she’s back.

However, Nicola Charles, who plays Sarah, said her appearance was only temporary, as there are no plans for her character to return to the show. The 46-year-old British-Australian actress got candid with her Twitter fans after being asked of Sarah’s future on “Neighbours.”

When one fan asked whether Charles has ended her stint with the soap opera, she replied, “Yes, there are no plans for Sarah to return.” She also said that it wasn’t her choice, and even hinted that her character could even be killed off-screen.

Fans showered Charles with words of encouragement and support, with some even pleading to Network Eleven to bring back Sarah for good. This week, Sarah headed back to Ramsay Street after undergoing treatment to cure her cancer. She went back for her son, Angus (Jai Waetford), who’s been living under the roof of Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) and Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher). Sarah invited Angus to go with her in Germany, but Angus refused at first, thinking he’s responsible for his mum’s illness and believing he’ll hinder her full recovery. However, after a heartfelt talk with Sarah, Angus decided to be with her and make up for lost time.

While Sarah reported to the Kennedys that her health is improving, it might take a turn for the worse, based on Charles’ tweet. It seems she’s sharing her fans’ sentiments, as she had earlier expressed her desire for Sarah to be back in Erinsborough for good.

“Personally, I think it would be a crying shame if we didn't see Sarah again,” she said in an interview with Inside Soap. "But of course, I'm horribly biased!” She added that she hoped for Sarah, Angus and her daughter Antigone to buy a house on Ramsay Street and find romance. She gushed, “The viewer support for Sarah this time round has just been amazing - and I want more!”
