“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Paige sits down with Angelina’s mum for an emotional discussion about the boxing champ. “Angelina is a fighter – that’s who she is,” Paige says. “I think you know in your heart what she would do.” Amid tears, Rena replies that her daughter would take the chance with the controversial procedure. While it seems that Paige gets through to Rena, Digital Spy reports that Paige realises she may face retribution of Angelina’s family.

Digital Spy spoilers also suggest that Toadie seeks Karl’s opinion about Sonya’s proposal. The good doctor advises him to look at it as an act of love. Toadie also sees Steph completely saddened about Charlie. Toadie then goes to tell Sonya his decision about surrogacy. Meanwhile, a new, handsome stranger piques Aaron’s interest.

“Neighbours” recap

On Wednesday, Karl delivered the bad news to Paige about Angelina: any procedure may worsen the damage as it is. The doctors could not do anything at that point. Paige met Dr David Tanaka – not realising it at first that he’s a doctor – and they hit it off right away. She opened up to him about Angelina, and he reassured her that everything would work out. Karl then walked in and Paige introduced the two. David recommended his boss, a leading neurosurgeon specialising in brain tumours, to look at Angelina’s case. Paige felt touched about David’s willingness to help.

Later, Paige approached David at Harold’s to thank him. She introduced him to Amy and Jack, who were also at the café. Paige and David were obviously flirting with each other, making Jack visibly upset. Karl then arrived to tell Paige that David’s boss can perform the radical procedure on Angelina, but her family refused. Paige vowed to convince Angelina’s mum to change her mind, determined to help her former opponent.

Meanwhile, Brady’s feeling stressed when Blaze’s sponsors started pulling out because of the Angelina bout. Aaron volunteered helping Brad, who snapped at him. Later, Brad realised his mistake and sought to apologise to Aaron, who suddenly showed up again at their house with Tyler. Aaron excitedly shared his idea how to rebrand Blaze to get new sponsors: offer courses in basic skills such as computer work, job-hunting and vocational. Tyler said he could give car mechanical lessons, while Lauren can teach about hospitality. Brad thought Aaron’s idea is great, and the two made amends.

Sonya consulted Susan regarding surrogacy. Susan advised Sonya against it, saying it’s not a good idea. Susan shared her own experience, revealing it was an emotional time for her. She said the boundaries got blurred, and then she lost the baby. Susan then advised her to talk to Toadie right away, saying that surrogacy tested relationships. Later, Sonya broached the idea with Toadie, leaving him absolutely floored.
