'Neighbours' recap

Last week, Elly explained her side of the story to Susan, setting things straight about what happened with Finn. Elly told her aunt that the new teacher is the most ruthless man she has ever met – he humiliated her in the worst way possible and got away with it. While sympathetic, Susan said she has to investigate Elly’s allegations against Finn.

However, when Susan confronted Finn about Elly’s accusations, Finn managed to make himself look innocent. At school, Piper overheard Elly calling Finn a manipulative creep and threatening him to expose him to everyone. Susan talked to the principal at Elly and Finn’s former school and it seemed that between the two, Finn was the one telling the truth. Elly was upset, especially when Susan ordered her to find a way to get along with Finn. He also told Susan that Elly threatened to tarnish his reputation and Piper confirmed the story.

With history appearing to repeat itself, Elly drowned her misery with alcohol. She got irritated when Finn showed up at the bar, saying he wants to talk to her about their issues. Tyler could sense the tension between them and subtly asked them to leave. When Finn grabbed Elly, she resisted and made a scene. Tyler stepped in and escorted Elly out.

Speaking of Tyler, he and Piper continued to struggle with their financial woes. Having no money even to buy food, the couple tried hard to get by. Noticing their child’s difficulties, Brad and Terese brought food for the couple in the guise of thanking Tyler for rescuing Paige. Despite the temporary respite, Tyler received some bad news. His boss simply couldn’t take the series of troubles related to him. Elly’s drunken tirade seemed to be the last straw – it cost Tyler his much-needed job.

Paul was livid when he found out that Leo had a hand in blackmailing him. Paul wasted no time confronting Leo, who didn’t deny helping Tim Collins (Ben Anderson). Later, Paul talked to Tim and said he’s on board to help with the campaign against Sonya. In return, Paul want Tim to help him bring down the Backpackers and Leo. What Paul didn’t know was that Amy agreed to invest money on the Backpackers to buy out Tim’s share, so Leo could escape his clutches. Before Amy could sign the document, Paul managed to catch her on time to stop her. Paul lashed out at Leo for manipulating Amy just to get back at him. She stood by her decision and signed the papers, making her an investor.
