“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Friday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Elly is having a drink at the bar when she sees Finn arrive. When she accuses him of stalking him, he says he wants to talk to her. “A few people at work mentioned this was your bar of choice. Thought we could chat,” he tells her. However, Elly doesn’t seem to be in the mood for a discussion with him.

Finn suggests leaving past in the past, making Elly flare up. “Don’t you think I want to? And here you are, standing in front of me,” she says. Tyler steps in and tries to stop what looks like a brewing argument, which prompts Rob to grab Elly so they could leave. Elly pulls back and orders him not to touch her. “You’re not going to turn everyone against me like you did the last time.” Elly, who is clearly drunk, stumbles as she tries to walk and breaks a drinking glass. Tyler escorts her out of the bar.

Digital Spy reports that Elly reveals Finn’s true colours to Susan, hoping to get her aunt on her side. Elly is determined to prevent whatever happened before from occurring again in Erinsborough High. Meanwhile, Elly’s little scene at the bar costs Tyler his job. Being unemployed is the last thing that he needs right now – he and Piper are having enough money trouble as it is.

Also on Friday, Paul finds another reason to hate Leo after learning that Tim Collins used the new guy to blackmail him. Paul is determined to retaliate but his own daughter, Amy, may stand in his way.

'Neighbours' recap

On Thursday, Finn tried to charm his way back to Elly’s good books but she refused to fall for it again. He apologised and insisted that what he did was all in the past and that he didn’t mean to hurt her. He also revealed that he and his wife split up, which is why he moved to Erinsborough. Finn reckoned it’s a good time for him and Elly to patch things up but she said didn’t agree, saying that she doesn’t trust him and that she wants him gone. As much as she wanted to get as far from Finn as possible, Elly found out it’s not that easy – Susan even asked her to show him around school.

After consulting with Mark, Elly was convinced to tell Susan everything that happened. However, Finn managed to beat her to it – she revealed to Susan that he and Elly used to work together in Sydney and had a relationship when he was still married. Things got out of hand, according to Finn, when Elly tried to run him over with a car. Finn also told Susan that Elly asked him to resign and that he wants to respect her request. Wanting to confirm Finn’s story, Susan went up to Mark and asked for a copy of Elly’s police record. Later, Susan confronted Elly, demanding to know the whole truth from her.

Trust was also the topic of discussion between Tim and Paul. Tim asked for Paul’s help to run against Sonya as mayor. However, considering all things that happened, Paul refused to back him up. Undeterred, Tim turned to Leo and blackmailed him to manipulate Paul. Tim said if Leo refused, he would shut down the backpackers motel. Leo did just what Tim wanted, setting Paul up to make it appear that he’s giving money to a female waitress, who’s an illegal immigrant. Tim then threatened Paul to publish the photo on the local newspaper with the headline, “Shameless Robinson exploits illegal immigrants.”

Elsewhere, Xanthe took advantage of the fact that her dad is dating Lassiters’ general manager. The schoolgirl kept ordering food and drinks from The Waterhole and putting them all on Terese’s tab. However, Sheila caught her and Ben feasting on food they can’t afford. When Sheila confronted Xanthe, the young girl revealed about Terese’s offer. Sheila wanted to punish Xanthe but Terese let the girl off the hook. This didn’t sit well with Sheila, who felt like Terese overstepped her boundaries and undermined Sheila’s authority on Xanthe.
