Ramsay Street is gearing up for another sad goodbye to one of its residents. On Wednesday, “Neighbours” centres on the exit of Ned Willis (Ben Hall), who chose to leave after his secret kiss and feelings for Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall) were accidentally. Despite being hurt by his son’s actions, Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin) gets absolutely livid when he learns Lauren asked Ned to move out.

Ned’s departure will also cut short the budding romance between Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel) and Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns). Other “Neighbours” cast members who will also appear on the June 15 episode include Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), John Doe (Andrew Morley), Paige Smith (Olympia Valance), Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey), Walter Mitchell (Greg Stone), Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney), Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner), Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond), Jimmy Williams (Darcy Tadich), Angus Beaumont (Jai Waetford), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Mer), Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) and Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher).

Channel Eleven posted a sneak peek for Wednesday’s episode, focusing on Tyler, as he tells Piper they’re not just friends, bringing a smile to her face. A moment later, they’re having a video chat while lying on their respective beds. The physical attraction is apparent, and Tyler says, “I think we should stop there.” Piper asks if he’s sure.

Meanwhile, Ned bids goodbye to his family and Lauren tells Brad it was her who asked him to leave. Digital Spy spoilers say that Brad will be completely angry about it, threatening to move out also. Encouraged by Terese, Brad forgives Ned and their relationship seems fixed. While Brad says he also forgives Lauren, it looks like he’s not completely over what happened.

Paul also figures in the trailer, as he asks Gary to protect him. Gary, however, says that Paul’s the reason why he’s in there.

“Neighbours” recap

On Tuesday, Ned told a shocked Piper that he’s the one who kissed Lauren. Piper asked is Brad knows about it, or if they plan to. When they stammered for an answer, she ran to the door, clearly determined to tell her dad. The two chased after her and Lauren insisted to break the news to Brad. Again, Ned took the blame and promised it won’t happen again. Piper asked, “How can you say that when you have feelings for her?” Brad could not believe what he just heard and walked away with Piper on tow.

Lauren confided to Steph about what happened, and Steph assured her that at least Brad knows the kiss was one-sided. However, Lauren could not help but wonder whether her actions encouraged Ned to feel that way about her. Ned, on the other hand, discussed the issue with Tyler, who advised him to pretend that his feelings for Lauren were nothing but a stupid crush and it’s gone. Eventually, Tyler said, Brad would forgive Ned. However, that might not be the case for the rest of the family. This is exactly what happened with Piper, who vented about the inappropriate hookup on her vlog. She said that while it may be normal in “Game of Thrones,” it’s completely unacceptable in real life. Tyler arrived and tried to reason out with her. He also cheered Piper up, showing her a funny viral video. The two also teased each other and it looked like they were having another moment, until they were interrupted by Terese’s arrival.

Meanwhile, John cited the reasons why he believes he was the one who caused the Laisster explosion. Paige shot every theory down, trying to convince him otherwise. Later, she went to Mark and hinted that John may be involved in the explosion after all. Mark insisted that all the evidence doesn’t point towards that possibility. To convince John further, Paige asked Wendy Leung to meet them. Wendy confirmed John’s alibi – she saw him at the time of the explosion, meaning he couldn’t have done it. However, when Wendy left the two alone, she was clearly bothered by something.

In jail, Paul was approached by a fellow inmate, Squeak McCann, who warns Paul that he needs protection and that he could help, but at a cost. Later, Steph arrived to visit him and informed him that he’s being sued for civil damages. He told her he’s backing down on his earlier decision to give up his share of the motel. Steph was incredulous, but Paul admitted that his reputation had made him a target there and he needs to pay for protection. Steph refused to give him money and Paul didn’t sign the document saying he’s handing over his share of the motel. Without the money, Paul was threatened at the yard as a group of inmates moved in on him. Their plans were halted, however, when someone intervened. When Paul looked up to see who his rescuer was, it was Gary Canning.

At home, Lauren tried to convince Brad that she kept the kiss as a secret because she wanted to protect his bond with Ned. Brad said that the bond is now tainted. Later, Lauren ordered Ned to move out right away.
