Lies, secrets and revelations hound Ramsay Street on the upcoming episode of “Neighbours.” On Monday, the residents reel from Madison Robinson’s (Sarah Ellen) article, filled with personal and professional attacks against some of them. It is Madison, however, who is most shocked of all, especially when she finds out that her uncle, Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), was responsible for the highly offensive story.

Meanwhile, Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel) feels devastated when Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) forbids her to pursue a relationship with Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns). Desperate to be with Tyler, Piper tells him a little lie, saying that Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin) is on their side.

Other “Neighbours” cast members who will also appear on the July 4 episode include Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner), Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Mer), Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Tom Quill (Kane Felsinger), Father Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley), Paige Smith (Olympia Valance), Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall), Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney), Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey) and Jimmy Williams (Darcy Tadich).

Channel Eleven posted a sneak peek of Monday’s episode. The trailer shows Ramsay Street residents getting the shock of their lives upon reading Madison’s article. Brad immediately claims what Madison’s article is an outright lie, and Piper is puzzled why her friend would write those things. Meanwhile, Madison herself is stunned to see her story in print and wonders who sabotaged it. Digital Spy reports that apart from Brad, the article attacks Mark, Terese and Sheila’s profiles. It’s not long before Madison finds out her uncle was the one who changed her article for retribution, and she’s absolutely devastated.

It’s not the perfect time to tell her parents about her budding romance with Tyler, but Piper plunges ahead. She asks Brad what he thinks about it and he wants her to talk to her mum first. However, when she does exactly that, explaining to Terese that her feelings have changed towards Tyler, her mother tells her, “You have to change them back.” Digital Spy spoilers indicate that Piper lies to Tyler and tells him that her dad’s on board but her mum needs more convincing. Piper urges him to pursue a relationship, but make it a secret first.

Elsewhere, when Paul points out that Steph should be focusing on Charlie's needs, not her own, she questions her future with Mark. However, she soon announces to Mark that – after thinking about it - their future is together.

“Neighbours” recap

Last week, Ben used the money that Gary paid him to buy tickets to a concert that his grandparents are dying to see. Feeling guilty, Susan berated Karl for not being honest with his taxes and urged him to see the accountant to fix their finances. Later, Karl arrived home and told Susan that he’s being fined for not filing his taxes properly. Worse, they had to let go of Off Air.

Piper and Xanthe were bonding over a Korean beauty regimen when Tyler sends a message to Piper, wondering whether she told her parents about them. Ben arrived, told Xanthe that he changed his mind about the school’s formal and asked her to be his date. Xanthe could not be more thrilled, giving Ben a big hug. When Xanthe shared the good news with Gary and Sheila, her grandmother became suspicious. Sheila wasted no time confronting her son about Ben’s change of mindset. Backed into a corner, Gary was forced to admit that he paid Ben $300 to take Xanthe to the ball.

When Piper came over to see Ben and give him a heads-up about Xanthe’s dress, he revealed to Piper that he only asked Xanthe to the dance because Gary bribed him. Piper was livid and made Ben promise not to tell Xanthe at all costs. She went over to Xanthe to spend the night and was teased again for spending most of her time texting some guy. Xanthe suggested sending Piper’s mystery man a sexy selfie but Piper said she wants to send a wholesome, heartfelt video to express how she feels. Later, however, Piper thought about Xanthe’s warning – that the guy might lose interest on her.

Elsewhere, Brad toured Madison around the centre for a story she’s writing for the local newspaper. Paul came over and while Brad could not apologise enough, Paul said it’s all good. However, things didn’t look fine at all – he’s having flashbacks of his traumatising time in prison. Later, he walked in on the kids from Brad’s centre who were vandalising the facility. Catching them red-handed, Paul took a photo of them.

At Lassiters, Tom met with Terese and offered her job back. Theresa was hesitant with the bad memories about the place, as well as the charges she’s facing. She asked for more time to think about it. Later, while Paul was lashing out at Tom, Terese told Tom she’s accepting his proposal – she’d love to be the hotel’s director of operations again. Upon hearing this, Paul suggested to Madison to include Terese in her article. Upon Tom’s prodding, Terese agreed to be interviewed.

Paul arrived at The Waterhole and saw Madison finishing her article. He convinced her to call her dad and Madison agreed. Once she’s gone, Paul hacked into Madison’s story and rewrote some of the profiles, particularly those of Brad’s and Terese’s.
