Things are about to turn upside down at Ramsay Street as “Neighbours” closes the week. On Friday, Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey) and Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) are in for quite a shock as a familiar figure knocks on their door, changing the couple’s lives forever.

Spoilers suggest that the unexpected visitor is Dee Bliss (Madeleine West), Toadie’s ex-wife who was presumed dead. “Neighbours” fans would remember that Dee was last seen in Erinsborough in 2003, after her wedding with Toadie turned into a tragic nightmare. Before the long-running soap took its year-end break, Toadie was informed that Dee was sighted, raising the possibility that she’s alive. Other “Neighbours” characters who will appear prominently on the Jan. 20 episode include Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Meer), Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley), Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel), Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond),

“Neighbours” also stars Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner), Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Paige (Olympia Valance), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin), Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall), Ned (Ben Hall), Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta), Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) and David Tanaka (Takaya Honda).

“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Friday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, the Cannings are up against the Kennedys in a heated dodgeball match at the rec centre. Xanthe is completely in her element, determined to win against Ben. Soon enough, Xanthe and Ben are the only players remaining. She distracts Ben by mentioning his mum and when he turns to check, Xanthe throws the ball right smack at his chest. As a result, the Cannings win.

Obviously absent from the match is Xanthe’s dad, Gary. Digital Spy reports that on Friday’s episode, Gary has bigger things to think about – he lost a car and seeks Tyler’s help to find it. Meanwhile, Sonya tries to think of ways to address the distance between her and Toadie. However, she gets sidetracked when an unexpected visitor turns up at the door, leaving her and Toadie rocked to their core.

“Neighbours” recap

On Thursday, Paige’s family was left reeling in shock after she revealed that she’s pregnant. While she admitted that she’s on her second trimester, she refused to name the father of her baby. She also requested her loved ones to keep it within them for now. Later, Brad, Lauren and Ned tried to guess who may be the dad of Paige’s baby. Brad suggested it could be Tyler, whom Paige shared a brief fling with.

Piper was thinking the exact same thing – she went to Harold’s to talk to Tyler about it. Amid tears, Piper shared that Paige is pregnant and he could be the dad. Elsewhere, Paige bumped into Jack at the community centre. He seemed very content with his activities, making Paige realise that Jack feels he made the right decision of choosing priesthood.

At home, Brad and Lauren tried to coax out more information from Paige. She realised where her parents are leading to – they think Tyler is the father of her baby. She quickly corrected them and said it’s not him. However, she still decided to keep mum about the dad’s identity. Paige rushed to Piper and Tyler to clear the air, leaving them both relieved.

Meanwhile, Leo offered Aaron a job to promote the Backpackers hostel after the latter won the tender for the man’s shed. Aaron, however, said he had to consult Amy first, aware of the tension between her and Leo. When Aaron told Amy about it, she said she’s fine with it but Jack observed that she’s feeling the exact opposite. Amy admitted to Jack that she’s really not okay with Aaron working closely with Leo, but she didn’t want to hold her friend back. Later, Amy confessed to Aaron that she’s uncomfortable with him working with Leo. Aaron reassured her that his profession won’t get in the way with his friendship with Amy.
