NCIS” returns this week with a Halloween-themed installment to air on Tuesday. Season 14 Episode 6, titled “Shell Game,” centres on an abduction case that gets even more complicated, putting Alexandra “Alex” Quinn’s (Jennifer Esposito) life in serious danger. It looks like the new member of the team plays centre stage once again, after an important revelation about her in the previous episode.

Speaking of the newbies, Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) makes an effort to get closer with Quinn and Nicholas "Nick" Torres (Wilmer Valderrama). Former NFL Player and Studio Analyst for “The NFL Today,” Tony Gonzalez, returns in the upcoming run to reprise his role as Special Agent Tony Francis.

He joins other “NCIS” cast members who will also be featured on the Oct. 25 episode, including Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham), Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen), Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll), Dr Donald Mallard (David McCallum) and MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry).

TV Guide reports that on Tuesday’s installment, Abby makes personalised gifts for Quinn and Torres. Meanwhile, the NCIS crew discovers a connection between the kidnapping of a petty officer and her missing husband.

CBS posted sneak peeks of “NCIS” Season 14 Episode 6. In one of the trailers, Gibbs and Abby talk about the petty officer’s case. They realise that she’s being targeted by someone who’s telling her kidnapper what to do – someone who’s still out there. When Bishop tells the petty officer that she’s the one in danger, the victim can’t wrap her head around the fact that her husband could be the person behind her abduction.

Another clip shows Quinn as she proudly walks around the office wearing a knitted “Welcome to NCIS” sweater made by Abby. It appears that Abby has also made something for McGee and Bishop when they were new at NCIS. Torres, however, refuses to wear the sweater that Abby made for him. Gibbs then arrives and asks McGee and Quinn to gear up – the missing petty officer has been found.

Gibbs also figures in the last preview video, as he visits the petty officer who’s been kidnapped. When the door opens, Kelly tries to run off but Gibbs is able to stop her. She cries as Gibbs hugs her for comfort.

“Shell Game” is directed by Tom Wright and written by Brendan Fehily. Spoiler TV reports that “NCIS” Season 14 Episode 6 also features guest stars Emily Alabi (Navy Petty Officer First Class Kelly Ristow), Paul Schackman (Sullivan Brady), Jonathan Del Arco (Ned Senders), Richard Fancy (Leonard Weiss), Andrew Hawkes (Metro P.D. Detective Dan Campbell), Eric Petersen (NCIS Forensic Accountant Dale Weems), Nick Puga (TSA Agent Gregg Rogers), Mariana Da Silva (Dakota James) and Josh Latzer (Olek Lazarenko).
