'NCIS' Season 13 episode 23 spoilers: ‘Dead Lettter’ delves into a trail of death, a fight for life and a search for Ziva
It’s one of Michael Weatherly’s last two episodes
“NCIS” is airing its second to the last episode for the season finale, which also means Anthony DiNozzo’s (Michael Weatherly) dramatic exit. On Tuesday, the episode titled “Dead Letter” focuses on the international manhunt for a British spy, involving the “NCIS” team, the FBI and the M16. Ziva David’s (Cote de Pablo) name also comes up, which puzzles fans especially after her formal announcement that she won't appear in the final episode.

“Dead Letter” will also mark Sarah Clarke’s debut as FBI Special Agent Tess Monroe, as well as Duane Henry’s appearance as MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves. They join other “NCIS” cast members who will also be featured on the upcoming episode, including Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen). Also appearing on the “NCIS” Season 13 episode 23 are Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll), Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and Dr Donald Mallard (David McCallum).

TV Guide reports that on Tuesday’s episode, an “NCIS” member’s life will be in danger, while the crew joins forces with the FBI and M16 to hunt down an escaped British spy.
“NCIS” also posted a sneak peek of its May 10 episode on its YouTube page. It shows a crew member fighting for his life as he is brought to the ICU. “You need to prepare yourself,” the doctor says. Gibbs is also seen comforting the agent’s loved one. He also says adamantly, “We’re going to find Jacob Scott. We’re going to kill him.” On the last scene, he wonders why someone’s looking for Ziva.
Spoiler TV reports that Joe Spano (Senior FBI Agent T.C. Fornell), Juliette Angelo (Emily Fornell), David Dayan Fisher (Trent Kort), Vince Nappo (Jacob Scott), Damian O’Hare (Former NCIS Special Agent Allen Kane), Mia Barron (Doctor Katrina Griffin), Adria Tennor (Angela Dresser), Taja V. Simpson (Misha Rose), Sandra Nelson (Jessica Terdei) and Kamal Jones (Paramedic) will also appear on “NCIS” Season 13 episode 23. “Dead Letter” is directed by James Whitmore, Jr. and written by Steve D.
