Cast members of “Mr. Robot” talked about what it was like to work in the TV series and how they cope with filming the difficult scenes. After the success of the first season, the cast now prepare to film scenes for the next season that is slated to premiere in 2016.

In an interview with EntertainmentWeekly at the New York Comic-Con, Carly Chaikin (Darlene) said that working for the show was “emotionally draining.” The actress explained that the work for the show was so mentally tiring that once she returned home after filming she would get into the bed immediately and would not be able to do anything.

The one thing that the cast members had on the set was support from each other, revealed Portia Doubleday (Angela Moss). The actress said that the support that she got from her fellow cast members “made the whole process easy.” The shows’ main cast member Rami Malek (Elliot Alderson) also agreed with Doubleday and added that the cast and the crew created an environment that made it a great place to work.

In a previous interview with VanityFair, Malek revealed how filming a scene for “Mr. Robot” actually caused him to bleed once. The actor said that he is given an earwig, which is basically a spy device, to help him film scenes involving his character talking with the imaginary people in his head. Malek had asked the person who speaks to him through the earwig to shout and this apparently led to the actor bleeding from the ear later.

The actor was reluctant to reveal this information because the lady he had asked to help him in the scene is “really sensitive.” Malek said that he went to the doctor after seeing the blood and the doctor has assured him that he hasn’t suffered any hearing damage from the incident.

Malek also consulted a psychiatrist to better understand his character in “Mr. Robot.” The actor explained that this is just one of the many things that he and the producers of the show did in order to make sure that the TV series felt authentic.
