When 30-year-old Jeremy Meeks' mug shot became viral on social media sites in July, doors opened for the handsome crook, including five-digit modelling contracts and offers to do porno movies.

Penal history would likely be repeated after reports came out on Tuesday that Brazil has an inmate who could pass for a movie actor. However, Tiago Henrique Gomes da Rocha is not only the owner of a face and body to-die-for since at least 39 people have actually died from his fatal hands.

Da Rocha was arrested on Oct 14 at Goiana, which led authorities to discover the 26-year-old man was wanted for the theft of a motorcycle that he used to kill almost 40 people.

Of the 22 female and 17 male victims whom da Rocha killed, many were sex trade workers, young women, gays and homeless people that he randomly chose to die.

His first victim was 16-year-old Diego Martin Mendes whom he met for sex in 2011, but da Rocha ended up killing his first homosexual victim. The next 16 victims were mostly gay men.

But in 2014, his preference for victims shifted to females, with 14-year-old Barbara Costa whom he shot in the chest while riding the stolen motorcycle as his first female victim. The shooting happened while Costa was waiting for public transport at a bus stop.

In the next seven months, da Rocha, who works as a security guard in the day, had killed 15 other women in Goiana. He choked to death gay victims, shot the homeless and often stabbed female sex trade workers.

After da Rocha's arrest, relatives were surprised to discover that the shy young man they knew led a double life as a guard at daytime and killer at night. But a friend disclosed that da Rocha was bullied as a teenager, while da Rocha said he was sexually abused by a neighbor when he was 11.

He is being temporarily held in a single cell, which is good for him and other inmates because da Rocha admits to occasionally being in the mood to kill. On the other hand, with his handsome looks, he could be the object of sexual advances by fellow male prisoners and suffer the same fate like what happened to another Brazilian man who was raped by 20 inmates on two occasions.
