The Lenovo-owned Motorola has just revealed Moto E3, an affordable smartphone that has water resistant feature and competitive specs, and supports the latest Android.

BetaNews reports that the third generation of Motorola’s E line-up has a large screen, quad-core processor, big battery, good camera and a storage extension. The Moto E3 is equipped with a 5-inch 720p display with 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel shooter at the front. The new smartphone also comes with microSD card slot, allowing for the consumers to expand the phone’s storage space.

It is still unknown how much internal storage Motorola has built in, but phones at this segment usually come with a 16GB of storage. It won’t be much of a surprise, though, if the Moto E3 comes with 8GB.

Motorola’s new smartphone will also come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the latest version of Android that Google has available upon the phone’s release.

Aside from these competitive specs, the new smartphone will also come with a feature that is similar to the last smartphone that Motorola released.

CNET reports that the Moto E3 will come with a water-resistant feature similar to the Moto G4, except the former comes at a cheaper price. The feature, though, won’t allow users to submerge the phone in water, but it will resist a spilled drink or two.

The best thing about the Moto E3 is its affordable price. The new phone will be available in the UK for 99 pounds (AU$172.55), roughly 70 pounds cheaper than the Moto G4. The Moto E3’s pricing for the US and Australia is still not yet available, but it will most likely be available at a price that is similar to that of the UK release.

The new smartphone is expected to be available in the UK in early September and it will come in two colours, black and white.
