Moto X comes up as the next device to receive the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. As with other updates, the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Moto X may vary in arrival. Some users may already have access to the software while some may have to wait longer.

For those subscribed to T-Mobile or other carriers, they can wait for the notification to appear to see if they are eligible. They can also check manually for the update by clicking through the following: Settings -> About -> Check for Software Updates.

According to Motorola's support page, people can follow these instructions when updating their devices. If they will upgrade via Wi-Fi:

1. Tap on Download.

2. Wait for the software to be downloaded then click Install Now.

3. Following software installation, wait for the device to restart automatically.

4. Check if the handset was updated to 212.44.26.

The Moto X comes packed with excellent features including:

When updating, it is best for users to charge their phones at least 50%. They should also make sure they are properly connected to a Wi-Fi network. The Android 4.4.4 KitKat for Moto X comes with a variety of features. These include battery enhancements and security improvements according to Android Origin. People can also expect improved camera quality, enhanced photo dialer and video settings. Other retailers like Sprint, AT&T and Verizon have provided the update for the device. For those who do not want to use the stock Android 4.4.4 KitKat version, there are also custom ROMS available.
