In the previous week, Motorola Moto X (2016) was spotted on Zauba, an Indian import-exporting tracking website with “Moto X3” moniker. Now, a leaked photo of the purported Moto X (2016) has surfaced indicating the Moto X (2016) release date is drawing near.

The listing of Moto X3 on Zauba revealed that the single SIM GSM smartphone sports a 5-inch screen. By looking at the leaked photo, it can be understood that it may be a prototype of the alleged Moto X3 as there is a Moto Batwing logo on the top corner of the device, GSM Arena reported.

Below the display, the smartphone features a fingerprint sensor. In January this year, the Senior VP Chen Xudong had said that all the Moto smartphones by Lenovo would feature a fingerprint sensor. The leaked photo also suggests that the smartphone features a USB Type-C connector on its bottom side.

The Moto X (2016) is also speculated to feature a front-facing flash for its selfie camera. In December 2015, a leaked photo of the rear shell of the Moto X3 had surfaced. It revealed that the Moto X Style successor would be sporting a full metal unibody chassis.

The Moto X (2016) is also expected to feature a stellar camera as the rear panel features a huge circular cutout for the main camera. It will be equipped with a dual-tone flash. Speculations suggest that it will carry support for optical image stabilization.

The Moto X Style successor is heavily pegged to be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC by Qualcomm. It is the same SoC that powers other flagships like Galaxy S7, LG G5, HTC 10 and more. Since it will be a flagship device, it is likely to include 4 GB of RAM. The chassis of the device is expected to include a heat pipe that will control the temperature of SD 820 chip.
