The Moto G 4G (2015), the successor model to the original phone Moto G 2014 of last year is now available for purchase in the U.K. The 2014 edition only came with support for 3G web connectivity. However, the new model has a 4G support. Most of the specs of the new device are almost same as last year’s model.

Looking at the transition of Moto G smartphones, the original Moto G was launched in 2013 but it neither featured the 4G support nor did it carry a microSD card slot. In 2014, it entered the second generation of Moto G phones, which is commonly referred to as the Moto G2 phones that came with a larger screen but it did not carry support for 4G connectivity.

The all new Moto G 4G (2015) is packed with a 5-inch IPS LCD screen that supports HD resolution and pixel count of 294 ppi. It also features a rear camera of 8 MP with a LED flash and a selfie shooter of 2 MP. The phone is stacked with a 1 GB RAM and storage capacity of 16 GB alongside a microSD card slot that supports up to 32 GB of microSD. The older device came with 8 GB of internal storage.

The Motorola Moto G 4G (2015) is powered by a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 chipset and runs on a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU in addition to Adreno 305 GPU. It is the very same chipset that powers up the last year’s model. The newer device will be shipped with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop preloaded on it. The Moto G 2014 is fitted with a non-removable 2070 mAh battery whereas the newer Moto G 4G 2015 comes with a larger battery of 2390 mAh capacity.

You can grab your Moto G 4G 2015 at only £159 (VAT inclusive) from the Motorola’s UK website. According to Slash Gear, it will also be available through carriers and outlets such as Tesco, Amazon, Argos, Carphone Warehouse and more from March 16. The pricing of £159 is only a £10 increase over the pricing of its predecessor phone, the 3G model, which is available for £149.99. The new edition of Moto G will release in the U.S. in the near future.
