Four members of one Australian family were found dead in their New South Wales property on Tuesday, Sept 9. The head of the family is still missing. All four victims had gunshot wounds.

It was 41-year-old Kim Hunt with her son and daughters who was found dead at their Boree Creek Road home. Geoff Hunt, Kim's husband and the father of the deceased children, is missing. Police, seeking public assistance in finding the missing father, are looking for him on a dam situated at their property. The Hunt family survived a dangerous car crash in 2012 and later gave an interview to a magazine about their survival, 9NEWS reported.

The children who were killed along with their mother included Phoebe and Mia, aged 6 and 8 consecutively, and Fletcher, 10. The body of the mother was found on the way behind the house. Forensic officers were involved in an overnight investigation. Primary impressions suggested that all the deceased people had been killed by gunshots. However, the post mortem was yet to take place. A white-coloured Ute was found unattended at the dam. Police are scheduled to conduct a search in the water on Wednesday morning.

Geoff, the missing father, is of medium build and around 193 cm tall. His face is clean-shaven while he has short brown hair. He has not replied to the calls to his mobile phone since the alarm had been raised. There is no witness who saw Geoff during or after the incident either. People are strongly advised to contact the police if they are able to contact Geoff. However, it is also advised that no one should approach him.

Kim suffered severe injuries during the car crash in 2012. She suffered post-traumatic amnesia for seven weeks as she had a brain injury and a broken neck. Her younger daughter Phoebe had minor injuries as well. Kim's car flipped a couple of times on Boree Creek Road. The family later gave an interview to The Daily Advertiser, where Geoff appreciated his wife's determination during the phase. Geoff was apparently a great support for his wife after she had suffered the crash.
