Real Estate Australia has released the list of the most expensive houses of 2015 across Australia, which have now become dream houses for rich nationals of the country.

Surprisingly, the list covers most of the properties having the best sun, sand and harbour views. Luxurious villas and water frontages have made people invest top dollars to own the Sydney properties. However, the rest of Australia has also gained momentum so far as luxury and awesome views from homes were concerned.

On the top of the list is Point Piper in NSW, where Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull preferred to dwell in over the Kirribilli House. The median price for the house is $9.4 million. The non-waterfront property “Mandalay” is the most expensive, sold to construction developer Phillip Dong Fang Lee for $39.9 million.

The list below mentions the priciest properties 2015 across the nation from different regions.

  1. Point Piper, NSW – The property was sold to road construction develope Phillip Dong and his wife for $39.9 million.
  2. Bellevue Hill, NSW – The property became a dream house to an unknown Chinese buyer who bought it from packaging businessman Ken Allen for $30 million.
  3. Rose Bay, NSW - The property was sold to UK barrister Georgina Black, wife of Britain’s property management company Telereal Trillium CEO Graham Edwards, for $27,080,000.
  4. Vaucluse, NSW – The house was sold in July to hotel owner Jerry Schwartz and his wife Debbie for $24 million.
  5. Brighton, Victoria – The property attracting most of the Melbourne home buyers was sold for $20 million. It was owned by St. Kilda Football Club President Rod Butterss.
  6. Vaucluse, NSW – Clothing brand Industrie founders Nick and Susie Kelly sold this property for $15.3 million in March.
  7. Cammeray, NSW – Joanne Mineham, widow of former PricewaterhouseCoopers deputy CEO Leigh Mineham, sold the property worth an unknown value ranging between $13 and $15 million.
  8. Woollahra, NSW – QC politician John Spender and his designer ex-wife Carla Zampatti had stayed in this property, which was first listed as in the REA list 2012. In 2015, it has been sold for $13 million.
  9. Elizabeth Bay, NSW – The home was sold privately for more than $13 million.
  10. Double Bay, NSW – The estate has been sold at $13 million in August 2015.

Those which made it to the REA list were few that did not capture any position on the list. Such properties included Double Bay waterfront mansion Gladswood Gardens and the Point Piper mansion Villa Del Mare.
