"The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes" production may be delayed but that hasn't stopped fans from naming stars suited to play the characters in the sequel. Notable celebrities have already been listed for the parts of Maia Roberts, Jordan Kyle and Jonathan Morgenstern. One other notable character yet to be cast is that of the Seelie Queen. Here are just a few stars that have the potential for the part.

Film critics claimed that the film adaptation to Cassandra Clare's best-selling novel, "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" had a "disastrous" box office opening. Apparently, the $70 million wasn't a good enough number to prove the film was a hit. Still, the sequel is set to be filmed in spite of the setbacks.

"Speaking for myself - and honestly, for readers and fans, too - I think a delay could be good. The draft of the screenplay I saw for the first time last week was very far from the book City of Ashes, and if they'd really started shooting in September there wouldn't have been time to change it," stated Clare on her Tumblr account, adding, "Though the movies are based on my books, they are not my movies."

Despite the delay in the production for the sequel to "City of Bones," fans are still hoping for casting news for the second film. As of late, Sigourney Weaver officially joined the cast as the Inquisitor for the Clave. Other characters that need casting of course include the Seelie Queen of the fairies.

Early rumours claimed Lily Cole had signed on for the part but Constantin Films had not released an official statement about it. Check out the slideshow to see suitable stars fit to play the Seelie Queen.
