The XiaomI Redmi Note is one of the highly popular budget smartphones of 2014. The Mlais M52 is its new competitor that comes with promising specs. Here is a comparison on the specifications of the two devices:

Design And Display

The Xiaomi Redmi Note measures 154 x 78.7 x 9.5 mm whereas the dimensions of the Mlais M52 Red Note is 152 x 78 x 8.2 mm. The Redmi Note comes case options like white, light blue, dark blue, pink, black and green. On the other hand, the Mlais M52 comes with colour options like black, blue, white and orange. Both the devices house a 5.5-inch IPS display screen with support for HD resolution.

Processor, RAM And Storage

Under the hood of the Xiaomi Redmi Note is the Media Tek MT6592 chipset that contains an octa-core processor with eight cores gunning at 1.7 GHz and Mali-450 MP4 graphics. The handset is available in two variants. The first comes with 1 GB of RAM and internal storage of 8 GB and the second one comes with 2 GB of RAM with 16 GB internal storage. The external storage supports up to 32 GB of microSD.

On other side, the Mlais M52 is powered by a superior MediaTek MT6752 that includes a 64-bit octa-core processor that is capable of delivering a clocking speed of 1.7 GHz along with Mali-T760. Mlais M52 is equipped with 2 GB of RAM. The native storage provided on the smartphone is 16 GB along with support for up to 64 GB microSD on external storage.

Camera, Software And Connectivity

The primary camera of Xiaomi Redmi Note is 13 MP with LED flash and it supports full HD video shooting. The front-facing camera is of 5 MP. The Mlais M52 too, is packed with a main camera of 13 MP along with LED flash. The front-facing camera is of 8 MP with support for 88 degrees wide angle.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note is preloaded with an older Android v4.2 Jelly Bean that has been optimised with MIUI. The Mlias M52 comes with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

Both the devices come with support for dual SIM cards. There is no support for 4G LTE connectivity and USB OTG on Xiaomi Redmi Note whereas the Mlais M52 Red Note features them. Both the devices come with a slew of connectivity options such as Bluetooth and 3G.

Battery And Price

The 8 GB edition of Xiaomi Redmi Note is powered with 3,100 mAh battery and the 16 GB model is packed with 3,200 mAh battery. The Mlais M52 is also provided with 3,200 mAh battery. Lastly, the Xiaomi Redmi Note is priced at $185 whereas the Mlais M52 Red Note carries a price tag of $160.
