Men are going to start lining up at Sports Illustrated model Irina Shayk's door after it has been announced that she has parted ways with her Portuguese footballer boyfriend of five years, Cristiano Ronaldo. It seemed that Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo, also known as "The Greek Freak," already has his sights set on pursuing the Russian supermodel.

Antetokounmpo tweeted shortly after the news about Shayk and Ronaldo's split made headlines. The 20-year-old professional basketball player asked his more than 68,000 followers on Twitter if he should talk to her or if it was too early to make a move.

I heard that Irina Shayk is single.. Should I DM her?? Or you guys think is too early?? Hahahahha

On Jan. 16, New York Post's Page Six reported that Irina has broken up with Ronaldo. Shayk's representative has confirmed the breakup. "We can confirm that Irina Shayk has ended her relationship to Cristiano Ronaldo," the representative said.

The cause of the breakup is not revealed, but in recent days, there have been some speculations that Shayk and Ronaldo might be having some rough times especially when Shayk was not in attendance at the 2014 FIFA Awards, where Ronaldo received his third Ballon d'Or trophy.

According to a report by Spanish news outlet Corrieo da Manha, Shayk told Ronaldo that she would not be going to the award ceremony. They had an argument, which subsequently led to their separation. The report further said that Ronaldo and Shayk hadn't been really going along well in the past few months. Shayk reportedly said something about Ronaldo's mother Dolores, and he sided with his mother. It was the last straw that made Shayk leave the footballer.

However, Shayk's representative squashed the allegations and said that there is not an ounce of truth in them. "She has been close with his family throughout the course of their relationship. Any negative rumors with regards to Irina and the Ronaldo family are completely false, and have not been a factor in the cause of the spilt. Irina has no further comment at the time."
