Miley Cyrus further opens up about her sexuality and her take on being a bisexual. Contrary to what her fans might think, being a bisexual for her did not happen overnight, as she has always been the girl other girls approach when they are curious and want to experiment. As such, Miley believes that looking for people to talk to at a deeper level, as opposed to having sex with, is more difficult to do.

In her interview with Time magazine, Miley Cyrus further stressed what it had been for her, growing up as bisexual – a revelation she made just recently. According to the former Disney star, she has been sexually open for years, even though the media has not caught up with the fact. She said that being a bisexual did not happen for her overnight since she felt androgynous long before she even knew of the term “gender fluid” and understand what it means. She recounted that in Nashville, she is the girl other girls approached when they want to experiment with a girl.

Now that she is more open of her sexuality, she is not shying away from topics regarding sex with men and women anymore. She said she is so fluid that she entertains the thought of future with either a man or woman. Instead of gender, the more important thing for her is to find someone she can connect to in a deeper level, instead of the physical. She said what she sees around her can be disheartening. Some girls would do everything to look pretty for their guys, even though the guys are not treating them right. She said she believes that this is because society expects people to act.

She even said she had experienced these gender expectations herself, explaining that whenever she is in a relationship with guys, she had to act all feminine because her partner is being “macho.” On the other hand, she herself feel as if she needs to be “macho” whenever she is dating a girl. Both instances did not feel right for her. Now that she feels she is wiser, she shares that it is quite easy to find people for sex, but to find someone who she can connect with is a different ball game altogether. F—ing is easy. You can find someone to f— in five seconds,” she said. But when it comes to people she can talk to, there are very “slim pickings.”

She had divulged the same thing about her sexuality on her Paper magazine cover interview, where she infamously posed in the nude with her pet pig. "I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn't involve an animal and everyone is of age,” she said then.
