Miley Cyrus is quite well-known for her extreme fashion sense and on and off stage antics. She is the centre of attraction for her wild ways more than her singing capabilities. However, the “Wrecking Ball” singer has stunned her fans and critics alike with a haunting rendition of the popular Christmas song “Silent Night” accompanied by nothing but a piano for the Sofia Coppola Christmas special “A Very Murray Christmas.”

In a clip from the Bill Murray’s Netflix Christmas special, the 23-year-old Cyrus is seen sitting on a white piano being played by Paul Shaffer of “Late Night with David Letterman” fame. According to News.com.au, She is totally engrossed in her rendition of the “Silent Night” and is wearing a Christmas-themed corset. She looks adorable in the red strapless Santa-inspired dress together with the white fur-trimmed red stilettos. She is also wearing a headband with red and white flowers.

Something of this sort coming from the Miley everybody knows of is quite a surprise. The beads, glitters, strap-ons and prosthetic penis outfits are nowhere to be seen in the clip. It’s just pure heart and soul, writes Huffington Post.

Murray, who stars as a singer, admitted that working with Cyrus was quite a pleasure contrary to the notion he had about the singer.

“It was stunning to work with her. All you hear is ... what you hear [about her] — and then you work with her and realise, ‘Oh!,’” he told People in an interview.

Cyrus reportedly had a mind-blowing effect on Murray with her singing capabilities.

“When you hear her [on the radio], you go, ‘She’s not even really singing that, that’s all voice-activated — it’s all tricked out. None of that’s true. She’s really got it. She’s really got the pipes,” Murray said.

“A Very Murray Christmas” cast includes popular names such as George Clooney, Jason Schwartzman, Rashida Jones, Michael Cera, Jenny Lewis, Maya Rudolph, Chris Rock and Amy Poehler.

Cyrus tweeted the trailer of "A Very Murray Christmas" on Nov. 17.
