Bill Murray is now a big fan of Miley Cyrus. He said he was a convert after he met Cyrus when filming an upcoming Netflix Christmas special and heard her sing. Even George Clooney was impressed, Murray said.

Last week at San Diego Comic Con, Mic.com reported that Murray brought up that he is now officially a fan of the former “Hannah Montana” star. He said that if he was not convinced before that she could sing, he certainly cannot praise her enough now. He also shared that he usually view Cyrus as what most believe her to be, “a knucklehead crazy girl, the kind of girl you’d want to go on a road trip with,” but seeing her perform blew him away. He also said he was not the only one who felt that way. "She floored everybody: [former Letterman bandleader] Paul Shaffer, George Clooney. All these guys were like, 'Holy Christ! This girl can really sing!' I don't wanna hear any bad rapping on Miley Cyrus," Murray gushed.

This is not the first time Cyrus got praised in a major way. The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne had a lot of good things to say about Cyrus after they started working together on a music. Coyne, who collaborated with another pop star, Ke$ha once, told Spin.com that Cyrus is unlike Kesha in that she is freer to do what she likes. He said that he is no way dissing Ke$ha but he can really see Cyrus being more authentic.

If Cyrus wants something, she would go and do it. Ke$ha on the other hand, while crazy and cool, is just “not free enough to do what she wanted” like Cyrus. He said one day Ke$ha would be able to too if she wants to, but not yet. He also gave an example of how amazed he is of Cyrus. He said when the former Disney star wants the light to be purple on her show, this is certainly her decision from the onset. He added that Miley is very much in control of herself.
