Bill Murray has been cast in the upcoming Disney movie "The Jungle Book." The actor will be the voice behind the bear Baloo. Here is a look at the other cast members in the movie. The movie will be released on Oct 9, 2015 in the U.S and on Oct 16, 2015 in the UK.

"The Jungle Book" is a remake of the highly successful 1967 movie with the same title. The story is about an orphan human boy raised in the jungle by a pack of wolves and under the guidance of a panther and a bear. The boy is relentlessly pursued by a tiger who hates all humans.

The cast of the movie includes Bill Murray as Baloo the bear, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera the panther, Neel Sethi as the orphan boy Mowgli, Scarlett Johansson as the snake Kaa, Idris Elba as Shere Khan the tiger, Christopher Walken as King Louie the chimpanzee, Lupita Nyong'o as Rakcha the wolf and Giancarlo Esposito as Akela the wolf.

"The Jungle Book" 2015 will be a live action and animation hybrid. Expectations are high from the movie given the success of other animation movies at the box office and the star cast in the movie. The popularity of the characters in the movie may also be a huge crowd puller at the theaters.

Bill Murray is the winner of many prestigious awards like the Golden Globe and the Primetime Emmy award. The actor was also nominated for an Oscar for his performance in the movie "Lost in Translation." Movie buffs will be able to see the actor in the movie "St. Vincent," releasing in Oct 2014.

Warner Bros has also reportedly decided to make a film adaptation based on the popular story. The movie titled "Jungle Book: Origins" will be released on Oct 21, 2016. According to a report by Deadline, the movie will be directed by Andy Sirkis.

"The Jungle Book" movie is an adaptation of the novel by Rudyard Kipling. The classic book is still available for avid readers. The book has been a favorite childhood companion for many and the 1967 movie also won many fans across the globe.
