Mildred Baena recalls how Maria Shriver found out about Arnie’s lovechild

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s mistress, Mildred Baena, has come clean as she broke her silence months after news that she may have played a role in the split between the former governor and former TV journalist, Maria Shriver.

In her first interview with Hello Magazine, Mildred shared that it was last summer when things started to heat up at the couple’s residence when she took her son, Joseph with her.

"Last summer, I brought Joseph over to the house,” Baena was quoted by AceShowbiz as she began sharing to the entertainment magazine by AceShowbiz.

Without explicit admission that bringing Joseph to her employer’s residence was a mistake, Baena revealed that it was then she realized that she could no longer deny the resemblance between the father and son.

"After that, people in the house started whispering about how much they looked like each other," the Guatemalan said describing how everyone at the house reacted after seeing her son.

She also said, “Until then, he hadn't been around very much.”

Knowing that she could no longer hide her teen son, it did not come as surprise to her when Maria first confronted her about it.

"Maria would ask if I needed to talk to her, and I kept saying no. Finally, she asked point blank. Maria asked me directly if Joseph was Arnold's son, and I just broke down,” Baena said of the day she came clean to Maria Shriver.

What came next was a scene that would not usually make a sequence in a movie. No slapping in the face or stern face before the wife walked away with her back turned on the other woman.

Baena offered a scene that was more real to her and her relationship with Arnold and Shriver.

She recalled: “I dropped to my knees and I was crying, saying that yes he was and I was so sorry," Mildred said, adding "She cried with me and told me to get off my knees."

And Maria also did the unexpected as she, according to Baena asked the husband’s mistress and the family housekeeper to get up after embracing the woman who she thought was a help in keeping her family together.

Mildred said: "She cried with me and told me to get off my knees."

After the long embrace and the cries, Mildred said that she offered to leave the family residence since her retirement was around the corner the time Maria found out about the lovechild.

But Maria stopped her and suggested to stay for the holidays and she went on to stay with the couple for a little longer.

Not too long, though as their separation was officially announced in April. And the rest, as they say is history.
