Even after two arm bar submissions to current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate is still full of confidence that she has the best shot of dethroning the current queen bee of the mixed martial arts (MMA) world. “Cupcake” has her eyes set on a title shot, but knows that she still has to settle her business with Olympic wrestling silver medalist Sara McMann.

Tate is scheduled to hurdle McMann in one of the preliminary fights for UFC 183 which will happen at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas this Jan. 31. Both women are hoping that the fight is an audition for a title bout with whoever wins at the UFC 184 title match between Rousey and number 1 contender Cat Zingano. Nobody has been more vocal that she is set on claiming the belt than Tate who spoke with FOX Sports on her intention to claim her stake her claim on the tag, “best woman fighter in the MMA.”

"If Ronda wins, she's beating all the other girls, so all I have to do is ward off the other No. 1 contenders like I have been. I think I have the best shot at beating her and I think I've proven that going into the third round with her. Regardless, it's always fun for me to fight Ronda," Tate told FOX Sports.

Despite her admittance to looking forward to the Rousey-Zingano bout, Tate insists she is 100 percent focused on claiming her third straight win over McMann this weekend. Tate is looking to exploit the reliance of her opponent on the ground game which was exposed when Rousey shook her confidence with a punch to the liver the ended McMann’s title hopes.

The 28-year-old former Strikeforce talent also admitted that her quickest way to the top is winning over McMann and having Zingano upset Rousey but with her knowledge on the abilities on the two girls, she is still leaning on the current champion to prevail. She relayed that Zingano starts slow while Rousey is the quicker draw, which will be the main tipping point of the fight. Tate observed that Rousey is hell bent on delivering the quick win and if the opponent is not ready for the early barrage, the night will be cut short with a Rowdy victory.
