Microsoft has announced its latest update to the Xbox One console due out in November. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella previously explained his bold vision of “mobile first, cloud first” back in the early 2014, and his vision is reflected in the new gaming console.

With Windows 10 at its core, Xbox One has a brand-new menu system along with lesser reliance on the Kinect sensor for navigation. This will bring backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games from the last generation.

With the latest update, Microsoft opens up new doors to serve gamers, just the way it’s been serving students and businesspeople.

The company said it doesn't matter what device you're using as long as you have Microsoft app in it. Now, with the revised version of Xbox One with Windows 10 at the core, Nadella has his vision of the gaming business translated into reality, reports BusinessInsider.

Nadella believes in focusing on users first and so if it's about running Skype on Mac or using Office on an Android tablet, the idea is about meeting users’ interests. He emphasized that people love Microsoft and cloud-based tools like Office 365 and OneDrive because they help keep users’ data persistent, whether on an Apple iPhone or Microsoft Surface Pro tablet.

And gaming is integral to Microsoft’s business, too.

Over the past 20 years, Windows PCs have served as superb platforms for game enthusiasts and are expected to prove their legacy in the future, said NeoGAF.
