Microsoft's Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL and Surface Pro 4 - in addition to the Band 2 wearable tech and Xbox One Mini - will all be unveiled in an upcoming event sometime in October. This is very good news for avid Microsoft tech users, considering that the company has not launched a flagship device under the Lumia line for quite some time now.

Last year though, the company released quite a few Lumia units - ones that were entry level and midrange level. Sadly, however, no high end models were released into the market. The October release of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will be the first ones that involve high end flagships.

Tech Times has revealed that both smartphones will be featuring special features, such as an iris scanner, among others. Fortunately for those who have long been waiting for Microsoft's new units, a Chinese blog has just posted some claims about the upcoming Lumia flagships, as reported by WMPoweruser.

Apart from the October launch, the report also mentioned some of the specs that the units will most likely come out with once released into the market. However, the report from WPDang has already been taken down - it now shows a 404 error retrieval whenever the website is checked out.

WMPowerUser managed to take note of significant details such as an important specification for the Surface Pro 4. According to the report, the upcoming tablet will sport an Intel Skylake processor. It must be noted though that this is not the first time that Skylake chip has been associated with a Microsoft device.

With regard the Xbox One Mini, the report has claimed that the console will be more compact - perhaps, one third of the regular unit's size. Plus, it will also be launched complete with a playback functionality with Blu-Ray.
