Photos, colour schemes and configuration details of Microsoft’s upcoming mid-ranger, the Lumia 850, are no longer a secret.

According to the credible tipster @evleaks, the Lumia 850 has been tied to the code name “Honjo.” The leaked live photo shows the device in white hue with a Microsoft logo embedded at the back. There’s also a front-facing flash for selfie-enthusiasts. The phone also features well-rounded corners unlike the predecessor Lumia 830.

The handset heavily resembles the design of the recently released Lumia 950 lineup, said GSM Arena. Going by the photo, the Lumia 850 won’t capacitive keys beneath the display or the physical shutter button. [Scroll down to check out the image.]

Another key aspect is the introduction of four new colour schemes. Microsoft will apparently release standard white and black hues with a twist, according to GSM Arena citing Baidu. The front and back panels will stay coloured in white and black, but the sides of the handset will be accented by a combination of gold, rose gold, cooper and steel hues.

While the white panels get gold and rose gold accents, the black shells come combined with a copper-coloured frame and a plain steel version. The photo showing the four colour themes can be checked out at Baidu.

As far as the specifications go, earlier reports pointed to a 5.0-inch HD display, Snapdragon 410 chipset and 1 GB of RAM. Plus, a 10 MP PureView main camera unit was also tipped.

Now, however, a recent report says the Microsoft Lumia 850 will feature a 5.7-inch display and Full HD resolution. Under the hood, the device will come powered by a Snapdragon 617 chipset.

Needless to say, these specs do sound believable for a mid-ranger. Nevertheless, readers are advised to take the reported Lumia 850 specifications with the proverbial pinch of salt as the company hasn’t confirmed any information so far.
